Introducing 'Bright Eyes'. This stunning acrylic painting is a portrait of Owlbert Einstein, a beloved resident at Adelaide Zoo. Owlbert is a barking owl who was hand-reared by Michelle Birkett, who also took the reference photograph that inspired this painting.

I was immediately drawn to Owlbert's captivating gaze and striking features, and I worked meticulously to capture these details in my painting. Through the use of multiple layers of acrylic paint, I was able to create a realistic and detailed portrayal of this magnificent bird.
