I am currently taking commissions for Australian bird paintings. In addition, for a limited time only I will be taking commissions for A3 watercolour pet portraits and sailing boat paintings. So if you have an idea you would like to turn into a piece of art send me an email.
I love working with collectors on commissioned paintings. Together we come up with artwork that I would never have been able to create on my own. It is a collaborative exchange of ideas. I take a limited number of commissions each year. So if you have your heart set on a custom painting please get in early and allow plenty of time to avoid disappointment.
Commission Process.
You Dream it.
It all begins with your idea. The first step to commissioning a painting is to contact me and tell me your idea. Send me any reference photos if you have them. Just keep in mind that I will need permission from the photographer to use them to create your painting.
Once we have come up with a concept and decided on the size and materials, I will give you a quote. If you decide you want to go ahead with your commission, I will ask for 50% of the agreed price up front. This deposit is non-refundable to cover the cost of materials and my time getting started.
I Create it.
Once I receive the first payment I will get started bringing your artwork to life.
You have the option to receive updates as I make progress or wait to be surprised with the completed work. If you decide to get updates then you are able to have input as the painting evolves.
You Take it Home.
The remaining 50% of the agreed commission price will be paid once the painting is complete.
If you are local to Adelaide you are welcome to collect your artwork in person, otherwise it will be safely posted to you.
Once you get your painting back to its new forever home I would be thrilled if you would like to send me a photo of it on your wall. I love hearing from my collectors and seeing where my paintings end up.
